Rostam's Tour and New Album

Rostam Batmanglij, formerly of Vampire Weekend, is releasing his third studio album, "American Stories," on May 15th. This marks his first album in nearly five years, following 2021's "Changephobia". "American Stories" sees Rostam embracing his Iranian heritage by blending traditional Persian instruments with American musical elements. He collaborated with Iranian-American musician Amir Yaghmai of The Voidz and others on the album. To support the album, Rostam is embarking on a North American tour in May and June 2026, with European dates to follow in September. The tour kicks off in San Diego on May 27th and includes stops in major cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and Washington, D.C.. A pre-sale for tour tickets begins today, March 11th, with general public sales starting on March 13th. The first single from the album, "Like a Spark," is already available, showcasing the fusion of Persian and American sounds that defines the project.
