Pizza Chain Slice House to Open in Fremont

Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a fast-casual pizza chain, is opening a new location in Fremont at 43456 Boscell Road. The restaurant will replace the former Dog Haus location. The chain was founded by 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani.

- The Fremont location is a homecoming for founder Tony Gemignani, who was born and raised in the city and graduated from Washington High School. - Gemignani is the first and only "Triple Crown" winner for baking at the International Pizza Championships in Lecce, Italy, and was the first American and non-Neapolitan to be named World Champion Pizza Maker at the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy. - The Slice House franchise program began in July 2022 and has rapidly expanded, with 124 multi-unit deals signed across several states and plans for 75 more units by the end of 2024. - Slice House serves various pizza styles by the slice or as whole pies, including New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma styles, alongside pastas, wings, and salads. - Gemignani also runs the International School of Pizza, where he is the first certified Master Instructor in the United States, training chefs from around the world. - The new Fremont restaurant will be operated by franchisees Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi, both of whom grew up in the Fremont area. - In addition to Slice House, Gemignani's restaurant portfolio includes other concepts like Tony's Pizza Napoletana, Pizza Rock, and Capo's. - The brand has received accolades such as being named the "#1 Emerging Brand" in Pizza Marketplace's Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
