Florida Renaissance Festival Underway
The Greater Miami Festivals & Events Association is hosting the 34th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival. The event is scheduled to run on weekends through March 29th.
- The festival is held at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, transforming the grounds into the fictional 16th-century village of Kimmendale. - This annual event attracts over 120,000 attendees each year and features more than 100 artisans and performers. - The 2026 season will host eight distinct themed weekends, including "Gamemasters Unite," "A Viking's Valor," and "Sirens and Shipwrecks." - Founded by producer Bobby Rodriguez, the event started in 1992 as a two-day festival and has since expanded into an eight-weekend-long affair. - Popular attractions include live jousting tournaments, birds of prey exhibitions, and an artisan marketplace with vendors selling handmade crafts like blown glass, leather goods, and weaponry. - While vendors throughout the festival will still accept cash, the box office for the 2026 season will be cashless, accepting only credit cards, debit cards, or mobile payments for ticket purchases. - The festival's entertainment lineup includes a variety of acts across twelve stages, from sword fighters and magicians to minstrels. - A wide array of food and beverages are available, from giant turkey legs to meads and ciders.
