One More Level, the Kraków studio behind Ghostrunner, says its next game is Valor Mortis, a first-person soulslike targeting Fall 2026. (omlgames.com) Publisher Lyrical Games unveiled a new trailer for Valor Mortis during the Triple-i Initiative showcase on April 9, 2026, and listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam as the launch platforms. (pressreleases.triplepointpr.com) The studio describes the game as a supernatural retelling of the Napoleonic Wars. Players control William, a resurrected soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée, in an alternate 19th-century Europe hit by a plague. (store.steampowered.com) A soulslike usually means hard fights built around timing, stamina, repeated deaths, and learning enemy patterns. One More Level says Valor Mortis keeps that structure but does it in first person, with parries, dashes, finishers, and melee-and-ranged weapon combinations. (pressreleases.triplepointpr.com) That first-person angle is the clearest link to Ghostrunner, which also relied on speed, precision, and forward momentum. The new trailer shows wall-running and a grapple hook, and the publisher said those traversal tools are meant to echo the studio’s earlier work. (pressreleases.triplepointpr.com) One More Level is not a new team testing its first hit. The studio says it now has about 60 developers, and Ghostrunner passed 2.5 million copies sold in 2023 before Ghostrunner 2 launched in October 2023. (omlgames.com) (techpowerup.com) Ghostrunner 2 also gave the studio room to try something new. One More Level disclosed revenue of about 24.4 million Polish zloty, or about $6.1 million, within five days of launch in 2023, according to reporting based on the company’s filing. (gameworldobserver.com) Steam’s store page says Valor Mortis is planned for release in 2026 and is not yet available, with no user reviews or system requirements beyond a 64-bit operating system. The page also flags mature content and describes the setting as a brutal wartorn landscape focused on violent combat. (store.steampowered.com) For now, the pitch is straightforward: a Ghostrunner studio, a first-person camera, and a soulslike structure set in plague-ridden Napoleonic Europe. The next test is whether One More Level can turn that mix into a finished release by Fall 2026. (omlgames.com) (pressreleases.triplepointpr.com)
