Piece by Piece: Cozy Game Launch
Cozy repair shop game *Piece by Piece* launched today on Steam, offering a relaxing, narrative-driven experience [https://www.savingcontent.com/2026/03/10/piece-by-piece-the-cozy-repair-shop-game-is-launching-march-11th-onto-steam/]. What makes it "narrative-driven?"
The narrative unfolds through customer interactions, where they explain how their items broke, adding context to the repairs. The core gameplay loop of mending and selling items in a shop also provides a narrative element. You play as a character who takes over their grandfather's repair shop, which is revealed at the start of the game via a train ride. This sets the stage for a story centered around family and taking on new responsibilities. The game incorporates narrative through the act of repairing items, with each item having a story to tell. As you fix things, you piece together not just the objects, but also fragments of the lives and events surrounding them. *Piece by Piece* was developed using Godot 4 by Neon Polygons, who also published the game. The game began as a project during the Wonderjam Game Jam at UQAC in Fall 2024.
