The film adaptation of Richard Osman's *The Thursday Murder Club* will premiere globally on Netflix on August 28, 2025. The streaming service released first-look photos and confirmed the movie's PG-13 rating for violent content and thematic material. Osman has also sold North American rights for new titles in the series, with his follow-up *We Solve Murders* also set for adaptation.

The book sold over a million copies in the UK within the same year of its release, a record-breaking achievement. The movie is based on the first of five books in the "Thursday Murder Club" series. The subsequent novels, *The Man Who Died Twice*, *The Bullet That Missed*, and *The Last Devil to Die*, have all been major bestsellers. The runaway success of the series has been a global phenomenon, with rights sold in numerous countries.
