Pragmata Launches April 17th
Capcom's sci-fi adventure Pragmata will now launch a week earlier on April 17 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement came during Capcom Spotlight March 2026, which showcased new gameplay featuring more robot threats. New details on Capcom's 2026 game lineup were also revealed during the showcase.
*Pragmata's* journey to launch has been a long one, first revealed during Sony's PlayStation 5 event back in June 2020. Initially targeting a 2022 release, the ambitious new IP from Capcom was later pushed to 2023 before being delayed indefinitely. The game is a new intellectual property for Capcom, a significant move for the publisher. Development has been handled by a newer team within the company, which is one reason cited for its distinct look and feel compared to Capcom's established franchises. The lengthy development and multiple delays were attributed to the challenge of balancing the game's core mechanics. Director Cho Yonghee explained that perfecting the blend of protagonist Hugh's shooting and the android Diana's hacking abilities required extensive trial and error. In *Pragmata*, players will explore a lunar research station, combining Hugh's combat skills with Diana's hacking to overcome hostile AI robots. Diana can disable enemy defenses, revealing weak points for Hugh to target, and her hacking abilities are also crucial for solving puzzles and navigating the environment. Hugh is equipped with firearms and a jetpack for mobility. The recent Capcom Spotlight also brought news for other titles. *Street Fighter 6* will add Alex to its roster on March 17, alongside new outfits for Elena and Dee Jay. Additionally, a launch trailer and new details were shared for *Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection*, which is set to release on March 13, 2026.
