At Apple, Pang was a Senior Distinguished Engineer who led the Foundation Model team. This group of over 100 engineers was pivotal to Apple's AI strategy, developing the large-scale models that power Apple Intelligence features like Genmoji and the next generation of Siri. His team also developed AXLearn, a specialized framework designed to scale model training efficiently, demonstrating a focus on building the fundamental infrastructure required for advanced AI development.
