The "Entwined" mural by SNIK, unveiled in New Brighton on March 5, 2026, pays tribute to the New Brighton in Bloom volunteers. The award-winning group decorates the town with flower arrangements, maintaining over 100 planters and even repurposed boats filled with flowers. SNIK's mural serves as "a quiet nod to the people behind the colour you see in the town". Commissioned by New Brighton Creative Futures CIC, the mural is located in the Victoria Quarter, known for its "open-air street gallery". The piece contributes to New Brighton's bid to become the UK Town of Culture in 2028. Rory Wilmer, Director of New Brighton Creative Futures CIC, sees the mural as an important addition to the town's growing street art program. SNIK is a UK-based artist duo specializing in hand-cut stencil art, often depicting solitary female figures blended with nature. Their intricate stencils can take months to prepare, showcasing a commitment to both heritage and detail. This is SNIK's second mural in New Brighton.
