St. Louis finished a three-game sweep in Houston on April 19, beating the Astros 7-5 in 10 innings for its fifth straight win. (mlb.com) Masyn Winn broke a 4-4 game with a bases-clearing double in the 10th at Daikin Park, after Houston erased a three-run deficit in the eighth. (mlb.com) The Cardinals opened the set with a 9-4 win on April 17, getting home runs from Nolan Gorman and Iván Herrera and a two-run single from Winn. (mlb.com) They followed with another 7-5 win on April 18, when Winn hit a two-run homer and José Fermín and Alec Burleson also went deep. (espn.com) By the end of Sunday, St. Louis was 13-8 and had completed its first three-game-or-longer sweep in Houston since April 20-22, 2004.
