Wolf Alice BRITs Performance
Wolf Alice delivered a standout, theatrical performance of "The Sofa" at the 2026 BRIT Awards, earning critical acclaim for both their musicality and stagecraft. In a follow-up interview, the band discussed the experience and their thoughts on fellow nominees The Last Dinner Party and Harry Styles.
This BRITs appearance follows Wolf Alice's second win for Best British Group, an award they previously took home in 2022. During their acceptance speech, frontwoman Ellie Rowsell gave a shout-out to the grassroots venues that helped the band in their early days, advocating for better support for emerging artists. The performed track, "The Sofa," is a single from their fourth studio album, "The Clearing," released in August 2025. The album earned the band their fourth consecutive Mercury Prize nomination, making them the only band to be nominated for every one of their albums. The band's mention of Harry Styles comes from a history of collaboration. Wolf Alice served as the support act for the European leg of Styles' "Love On Tour" in the summer of 2022. The tour concluded with Styles bringing Ellie Rowsell on stage for a duet of the Wolf Alice song "No Hard Feelings." More recently, Rowsell contributed backing vocals to Styles' latest single, "Aperture," his first new music in nearly four years. Rowsell described the experience as a "pleasure," citing her love for both harmonies and for Harry himself. The band also gave a nod to fellow BRITs nominees The Last Dinner Party, who are set to be special guests at Wolf Alice's biggest headline show to date. The London four-piece will top the bill at a massive homecoming show at Finsbury Park on July 5th, 2026.
