Conor Benn Fights Prograis

Conor Benn will fight Regis Prograis on April 11 on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov, marking Benn's debut with Zuffa Boxing. Benn (24-1) suffered his only defeat to Chris Eubank Jr. in 2024, while Prograis is a former WBA super lightweight champion.

This fight follows a turbulent period for Conor Benn, whose career was derailed in October 2022 after two positive tests for the banned substance clomifene. The adverse findings led to the last-minute cancellation of his highly anticipated bout with Chris Eubank Jr. and a protracted battle to clear his name. After a lengthy investigation, the UK's National Anti-Doping Panel dismissed the charge against Benn in November 2024, stating it was "not comfortably satisfied" that he had committed a doping violation, allowing him to resume his career. Before the ruling, the WBC had also reinstated him in its rankings, citing a "highly-elevated consumption of eggs" as a reasonable explanation for the finding. Following his exoneration, Benn avenged his 2024 loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in a dominant rematch on November 15, 2025. He won a lopsided unanimous decision, dropping Eubank twice in the final round in front of more than 60,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Regis Prograis is looking to rebound after losing his WBC super lightweight title to Devin Haney in a one-sided fight in December 2023. Nicknamed "Rougarou," the 37-year-old from New Orleans has held world titles on two separate occasions and is known for his aggressive, fan-friendly style. The bout marks a major move for Zuffa Boxing, the new promotion from UFC parent company TKO and Saudi Arabia's Sela. While Zuffa has a media rights deal with Paramount+, this event will be co-promoted with Sela and streamed on Netflix. Benn's signing is reportedly a one-fight deal worth $15 million, making it one of the most lucrative undercard purses in boxing history. The fight is scheduled for 10 rounds at a contract weight of 150 pounds, a middle ground for both men. Benn is moving back down after campaigning at middleweight for his Eubank fights, while Prograis is moving up from the 140-pound super lightweight division.
