Pop Charts Show New Breakouts
This week's Billboard Pop Airplay shows HUNTRIX's "Golden" steady at #5, while new entries include CORTIS_GO debuting at #37 and corbyn besson/TZUYU's "Blink" hitting #40. Meanwhile, Mediabase pop radio adds feature BLACKPINK's "GO" at #2 and alexwaarren's "Fever Dream" claiming the top add spot.
HUNTRIX's "Golden" is a breakout hit from the 2025 animated film *K-Pop: Demon Hunters*, performed by a fictional girl group. The track has already achieved significant global success, hitting #1 on the Billboard Global 200 and topping the charts in over 30 countries, including the U.S. and U.K. The song's success is historic; it became the first track by a fictional act to reach the top 10 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart. In the U.K., "Golden" became the joint-longest-running #1 single by an animated act, tying a record set in 1969. Its soundtrack also received five Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year for "Golden". The collaboration "Blink" brings together Corbyn Besson, a member of the American boy band Why Don't We, and Tzuyu, from the iconic K-pop girl group TWICE. Released in September 2025, the track marks a move into solo work for both artists who gained international fame with their respective groups. CORTIS_GO's debut track is from the rookie K-pop group CORTIS, which launched in September 2025. Their song "GO!" quickly surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it the fastest 2025 debut by a K-pop boy group to reach that milestone. All five members of CORTIS were actively involved in the song's creation, from lyrics to choreography. BLACKPINK’s "GO" is the second single from their third mini-album, *Deadline*, released on February 27, 2026. The track is the first to feature songwriting credits from all four members of the group. The release of *Deadline* marked BLACKPINK's first group project since 2022. The album made an immediate impact, selling over 1.46 million copies on its first day, setting a new record for a K-pop girl group, while the music video for "GO" topped YouTube's global daily chart.
