Four Pedestrians Struck in Brampton
An adult and three children were hospitalized in Brampton following a two-vehicle collision. One of the four pedestrians sustained life-threatening injuries. Peel Regional Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The collision occurred just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ray Lawson Boulevard and Timberlane Drive. Peel Regional Police reported that two cars first collided with each other, and the subsequent impact sent one of the vehicles into the group of pedestrians. The drivers of both vehicles involved in the initial crash remained at the scene and sustained only minor injuries. The four pedestrians struck included one adult and three children. One of the children was rushed to a trauma centre with injuries that were initially considered life-threatening. Police later updated the child's condition to stable, but still critical, while the other three pedestrians were reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Peel Regional Police's Major Collision Bureau has taken over the investigation. As of late September 2025, the cause of the initial two-vehicle crash had not been determined, and no charges had been announced in connection with the incident. This incident adds to a troubling trend of pedestrian-involved collisions in the region. Since the start of 2022, there have been 24 pedestrian fatalities and over 100 serious injuries resulting from nearly 1,200 collisions involving pedestrians in Brampton and Mississauga. Through mid-July 2024 alone, there had been 206 such collisions, with two fatalities.
