Kendrick vs Drake Ignites

Kendrick Lamar's latest diss tracks aimed at Drake are sparking massive reactions across YouTube. "Euphoria" and "6:16 IN LA" have generated multiple viral reaction videos in the past 48 hours. The feud demonstrates how diss tracks remain vital for shaping reputations in hip-hop, with fans expecting near-instant commentary.

The current chapter of the feud ignited with Kendrick Lamar's verse on the Future and Metro Boomin track "Like That" in March 2024. On the song, Lamar directly rejected the idea of a "big three" of modern rap—a concept J. Cole had previously articulated on Drake's 2023 track "First Person Shooter"—rapping, "motherf*ck the big three, n***a, it's just big me." This public dismissal escalated a rivalry that had been simmering for over a decade. The two artists, who once collaborated on tracks like "Poetic Justice," saw their relationship sour after Lamar's 2013 guest verse on Big Sean's "Control," where he declared his intent to lyrically "murder" his contemporaries, including Drake. Before Lamar's "Euphoria," Drake fired the first shots in the 2024 battle with the tracks "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made Freestyle." On "Taylor Made Freestyle," Drake controversially used AI-generated voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg to taunt Lamar into a response. The lyrical conflict quickly intensified beyond boasts to deeply personal and serious accusations. Drake's "Family Matters" alleged infidelity and domestic abuse in Lamar's relationship, while Lamar's "Meet the Grahams" and "Not Like Us" accused Drake of having a secret child and being a sexual predator. J. Cole, initially a target of Lamar's "Like That" verse, briefly responded with his own diss track, "7 Minute Drill." However, he quickly expressed regret, calling the track the "lamest, goofiest sh*t," and removed it from streaming services, formally bowing out of the feud.
