Paris gears up for spring food weekend

Paris will host a packed cultural and food weekend March 27–29 including the return of the Foire du Trône plus a jazz festival, contemporary drawing show and a program of exhibitions and running events — curated picks aim at families, friends and solo explorers. The schedule promises diverse culinary and music experiences across Île‑de‑France for that weekend. ( )

The Foire du Trône is scheduled to run this year from 27 March to 25 May 2026 on the Pelouse de Reuilly, occupying roughly a 10-hectare site with about 220–250 attractions and an official daily opening time of 12:00; organisers tout annual attendance figures in the millions. ( ) Drawing Now Paris, the 19th edition of the contemporary drawing fair, will take place at Le Carreau du Temple from 26–29 March 2026 and presents around 70 galleries and nearly 300 artists. ( ) Alongside Drawing Now, the Salon du Dessin returns to the Palais Brongniart from 25–30 March 2026 as its 34th edition, bringing dealers and more than 1,000 historic and modern works on paper to the Bourse. ( ) The Banlieues Bleues festival launches on 27 March and runs through 17 April 2026 across 11 towns in Seine‑Saint‑Denis, with an inauguration at Université Paris‑8 and a lineup that includes international names such as Cécile McLorin Salvant and Joy Guidry. ( ) The weekend’s running calendar lists the Sine Qua Non Run on 28 March (6 km and 10 km options) and multiple 10 km events on 29 March, including Les Foulées de l’Assurance and the 10 km des Étoiles, as part of a crowded Île‑de‑France race schedule. ( ) Regional food programming includes a Salon du Terroir at Télécom Paris on 27 March in Palaiseau and a roundup of restaurant and gourmet picks curated for the 27–29 March weekend by Sortir à Paris. ( ) Major cultural highlights on the same weekend include a Matisse exhibition spanning 1941–1954 at the Grand Palais and the opening of Disneyland Paris’s World of Frozen zone on 29 March 2026, both flagged in the weekend programme.
