Tesla's 2026.2.3 software update is rolling out to Model 3 Highland and refreshed Model Y vehicles in the US and Europe, promising tangible improvements [https://teslaacessories.com/blogs/news/tesla-2026.2.3-software-update-major-enhancements-rolling-out-to-us-and-european-owners-right-now].
The 2026.2.3 update includes a feature that makes it easier to unlatch the charge cable by pulling and holding the rear left door handle for 3 seconds. This is especially useful if the charge cable unlatch button malfunctions or a charging adapter gets stuck. The update also expands the availability of 3D Supercharger site maps to Europe. First introduced in the US, these maps provide a detailed layout of the Supercharger location, including live data on occupancy and charger types. For those in colder climates, the 2026.2.3 update focuses on improvements to cold-weather performance, addressing issues such as frozen charging cables. The update also includes a "Child Left Alone Detection" feature that alerts the driver via flashing lights, an alert tone, and a Tesla app notification if a child is detected unattended in the vehicle. The update also brings refinements to FSD (Supervised), deploying version 12.6.4 for most HW3-equipped vehicles and version 13.2.9 for early HW4 vehicles. These updates represent advancements in neural network performance, enhancing daily driving safety and collecting data for future autonomous driving. Around 62% of the global Tesla fleet has received the 2026.2.3 update. In addition to the features mentioned above, the update includes general bug fixes, improved Bluetooth stability, and security patches.
