This collaboration aims to combat increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics in real-time payments. FraudAverse, founded in 2021 and based in Germany, specializes in AI-based financial crime prevention. Their platform integrates with Finastra Financial Messaging to identify and mitigate fraud, potentially deterring up to 99% of fraudulent transactions. The pre-integration of FraudAverse into Finastra's platform offers banks rapid implementation and greater efficiency in fraud detection. Finastra Financial Messaging acts as a gateway and workflow engine, linking back-office systems to global financial networks. It supports various messaging formats, including Swift, and offers features like sanctions screening. The platform is designed to handle the latest ISO 20022 message formats alongside traditional FIN formats. AI's role in fintech fraud detection is growing, utilizing techniques like behavioral biometrics, anomaly tracking, and graph analytics.
