Lowell Murder Trial Delayed Again

A Lowell murder trial has been delayed due to misconduct allegations against a Massachusetts State Police sergeant.

The trial is now set to begin on May 4, after being pushed back from its original date in January. This is due to allegations against Sgt. Scott Quigley, who is accused of drunk driving in a police cruiser crash. Quigley's alleged misconduct has led to a review of cases he was involved in, including the murder trial. The defense argued that Quigley's involvement could compromise the integrity of the evidence. The defendant, Anh Phan, is accused of killing his ex-wife, Michelle Le, in 2018. Le was found dead in her Lowell apartment.
