Supplement allergen recall

The FDA recall this week pulled certain batches of Vital Nutrients Aller‑C after undeclared egg, hazelnut, and soy were found — a real risk for people with severe food allergies in sports nutrition supplements (newsweek.com).

Blueroot Health of Middletown, Connecticut issued a voluntary recall of two lots of Vital Nutrients Aller‑C on March 27, 2026. (fda.gov) The recalled bottles carry lot numbers 25E04‑A and 25E04‑B and are sold in white plastic containers of either 100 or 200 capsules with an expiration date marked 05/27. (fda.gov) Published UPCs for the affected packages are 693465524114, 693465000083, 693465524213 and 693465000090. (fda.gov) The company reported the lots were distributed nationwide through VitalNutrients.co and other online retailers. (fda.gov) Blueroot Health says the issue was found during routine internal testing and was promptly reported to the FDA. (pix11.com) No illnesses have been reported to date; consumers were asked to stop use and return product for a replacement and the company provided customer service at (888) 328‑9992 and support@vitalnutrients.co for questions.
