Bosc Restaurant Opens in South Tampa
A new restaurant named Bosc has opened on Platt Street in South Tampa. Located in the space formerly occupied by Zudar's, Bosc offers dinner, sushi, and a late-night menu, serving food until 2 a.m.
- The restaurant is operated by Main Street Entertainment Group, a hospitality company led by Kevin Enderle, a veteran with 35 years of industry experience whose portfolio includes the original Sullivan's Steakhouse in Austin and Clasico Italian Chophouse in Sarasota. - Bosc's culinary program is headed by Chef Partner Raymond Ortiz, previously of Forbici Modern Italian, while Head Sushi Chef Kieng-si, Kiengxai Chittavong runs the sushi and raw bar. - The business model maximizes the use of the real estate by operating a second, distinct concept out of the same address; Parker Street Bakery serves coffee, pastries, and grab-and-go breakfast items from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. - To capture different market segments, Bosc transitions from a dinner service ending at 11 p.m. to a late-night venue from Thursday to Saturday, with the kitchen remaining open and live music available until 2 a.m. - The location at 201 W. Platt St. was previously home to Zudar's, a local deli and cafe with family roots in the Tampa restaurant scene dating back to 1959. - Bosc enters the competitive South Tampa dining market, which includes some of the city's most established and highest-rated restaurants for business dining, such as Bern's Steak House and On Swann.
