Two New Restaurants Opening in SF
San Francisco's dining scene is getting a boost with the upcoming March openings of JouJou and The Big Four. The new restaurants are expected to add glamour and new culinary options to the city's landscape.
JouJou, from the team behind the two-Michelin-starred Lazy Bear, is set to open on March 6th. Located at 65 Division Street, the 6,500-square-foot space aims to challenge the city's tasting-menu-heavy fine-dining scene by offering an entirely a-la-carte French menu. The seafood-focused menu will feature grand seafood towers, French onion soup, and steak frites, with entrees ranging from $35 to $75. The kitchen is led by chef de cuisine Nick Vollono, an alum of Quince and Atelier Crenn, with pastry chef Yesenia Castañon coming from the two-starred Birdsong. Meanwhile, The Big Four is making its return as part of the historic Huntington Hotel's reopening in the spring of 2026. The iconic Nob Hill restaurant, named for the "Big Four" railroad tycoons of the late 19th century, has been closed since 2020. The redesign, envisioned by creative director Ken Fulk, will honor the restaurant's legacy while introducing an updated menu that blends established favorites with new creations. The revived space will feature a 72-seat dining room and a private area for up to 24 guests.
