Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona said on June 2 it would add metro and bus capacity for Primavera Sound 2026, as the festival’s five-day Barcelona program begins on June 3 and runs through June 7 at Parc del Fòrum. The operator said Line 4 of the metro network will be reinforced and two special bus services marked “Primavera Sound” will connect the venue with Plaça Catalunya on key overnight departures. TMB said it was also adding staff for customer service, security and cleaning at stations expected to handle the biggest crowds. Primavera Sound’s own access guide points festivalgoers to El Maresme-Fòrum station on Line 4, about 150 meters from the site. ### Which metro line is getting the extra service? TMB said Line 4 is the center of the transport plan because El Maresme-Fòrum station is the recommended metro stop for the festival site. The company said all metro lines can connect into that station, which sits next to Parc del Fòrum. The June 2 notice said Line 4 would run with up to two extra trains, especially during peak periods on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and in the first part of Friday morning. (noticies.tmb.cat) TMB also said it would deploy more staff at central stations including Urquinaona, Jaume I and Barceloneta, as well as at El Maresme-Fòrum and Selva de Mar, the two stations closest to the festival grounds. ### What are the special buses and where do they go? TMB said two special bus services would run under the line indicator “Primavera Sound,” both heading to Plaça Catalunya on Ronda Sant Pere, where passengers can connect to metro, FGC, Rodalies, regular city buses and night buses. The operator said the organization of the festival would provide the ticket for those special buses free of charge. (noticies.tmb.cat) Primavera Sound’s access page lists a shuttle bus from Parc del Fòrum to Plaça Catalunya for full-festival and day-ticket holders, with advance reservation priced at 3 euros per trip through AccessTicket. The festival site lists departures from the Taulat area from midnight to 5 a.m. on Thursday, 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday, and 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday, along with departures from Plataforma Marina between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. on each of those nights. (noticies.tmb.cat) TMB’s June 2 notice said one of the bus services from Passeig de Taulat to Plaça Catalunya would operate on the nights of June 4-5, June 5-6 and June 6-7. ### What else is TMB changing at stations? TMB said it installed special validators at Urquinaona, Jaume I, Barceloneta, Selva de Mar and El Maresme-Fòrum stations that allow passengers to buy and validate a single ticket with contactless bank cards. The company said the extra equipment was aimed at easing access during the festival period. (noticies.tmb.cat) The operator also pointed to regular metro hours that extend to 2 a.m. on Fridays and run continuously on Saturdays. Primavera Sound’s access guide separately says Line 4 operates from 5 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and holiday eves, and continuously on Saturdays. ### What should festivalgoers use if they are heading to Parc del Fòrum? (noticies.tmb.cat) Primavera Sound’s access guide lists Line 4 stops at Maresme-Fòrum and Selva de Mar as the main metro options, with Selva de Mar described as easier at peak times despite a longer walk. The same guide lists daytime bus lines H16, V29, V31, V33, 7 and 136, plus B20 and B23, and night lines N6, N7 and N28. It also says the T4 tram serves the Fòrum and Maresme stops, with nonstop service from Thursday to Sunday. (noticies.tmb.cat) Primavera Sound Barcelona’s current program runs from Wednesday, June 3, through Sunday, June 7, according to the festival website. TMB said its reinforcement plan covers that same period, while the main festival days at Parc del Fòrum fall on June 4-6 and the citywide program extends beyond them. ### When do the next key festival movements happen? (primaverasound.com) Primavera Sound’s access page says the venue opens at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 5, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. TMB said the special transport plan remains in place through June 7, with overnight bus links and reinforced Line 4 service aimed at the festival’s heaviest travel windows.
