Rode shrinks video studio to desktop gadget
Rode launched the Rodecaster Video Core, combining camera switching, audio mixing, and live streaming for centralized, automated studio production.
The Video Core streamlines studio production by combining video switching, audio mixing, and live streaming. It's designed for podcasters, live streamers, and solo creators who want a compact, all-in-one solution. Priced at $599, the Video Core includes three HDMI inputs, USB-C connectivity, and Neutrik combo jacks for audio. It boasts an octa-core processor, APHEX audio processing, and the ability to stream to major platforms. Rodecaster Sync, a new feature, unifies the Video Core with Rodecaster Pro II or Duo consoles via USB-C. This integration allows users to manage both audio and video from a single interface. A firmware update across the Rodecaster range introduces EDL Timeline Export for DaVinci Resolve, which streamlines post-production workflows. This feature preserves edit structure and timing when moving projects to post-production.
