Florida Clinches SEC Title

Florida Gators clinched a share of the SEC title with a commanding "beatdown" of Arkansas. The victory puts them among the nation's elite heading into tournament play — major momentum boost as March Madness approaches. Duke also dominated with a 100-65 blowout over Florida State despite Cooper Flagg's injury scare, improving to 26-3 overall.

This marks the Gators' first SEC regular-season title in 12 years, adding to the program's recent success under coach Todd Golden. The team now holds an impressive 22-6 overall record, with a 13-2 record in the tough Southeastern Conference. The conference championship is the eighth in the school's history. This latest hardware will sit alongside the SEC Tournament and NCAA Championship trophies the team won in 2025. The Gators have now won nine consecutive games and 14 of their last 15. In the title-clinching 111-77 victory over Arkansas, seven Florida players scored in double figures. Forward Thomas Haugh led the scoring with 22 points, while center Rueben Chinyelu secured his 17th double-double of the season with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Meanwhile, Duke's dominant performance against Florida State improved their record to 26-3. Ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll, the Blue Devils are also first in the ACC with a 14-1 conference record under fourth-year head coach Jon Scheyer.
