Broadway Hits Headed to Lincoln

Lincoln's upcoming theatrical season will feature touring productions of major Broadway hits including 'Hamilton,' 'Shucked,' and 'Water for Elephants.' The lineup promises to bring a diverse range of acclaimed shows to local theatergoers.

The upcoming 2026-2027 Glenn Korff Broadway Series at the Lied Center for Performing Arts will see the return of a record-breaking production. "Hamilton," which was the most-attended show in the venue's history during its previous run, will play for eight performances from April 13-18, 2027. Joining the lineup is "Shucked," a Tony Award-winning musical comedy making its Lincoln debut from February 25-28, 2027. The Wall Street Journal called the show "flat-out hilarious." Its story of a small town dependent on corn takes a turn when the crop begins to fail, prompting a journey for answers. "Water for Elephants," based on the bestselling novel, will bring its spectacle-filled production to the Lied Center from March 11-14, 2027. Hailed as a "Critic's Pick" by The New York Times, the show is praised for being "stunning, emotional, heart-filled and gorgeously imaginative." The season will also feature the classic whodunit "Clue," running from January 14-16, 2027. The Lied Center is a significant economic driver for Lincoln, with a projected annual economic impact of over $23.4 million following its current "Building the Future" expansion. The center serves over 200,000 people annually through performances, conferences, and educational programs. Five-show packages for the 2026-27 season start at $249 and are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on March 9, 2026. In addition to the main series, the season will include the return of "Riverdance" and a concert by original "RENT" stars Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp.
