RedCloud Activates Agentic AI for Trade

Global trade tech company RedCloud announced it has surpassed 100,000 customers, including retailers and distributors. The company is now deploying its agentic AI infrastructure across its network to build more intelligent systems for global trade.

RedCloud's agentic AI layer is branded as the RedAI Trading Co-Pilot, codenamed "Genesis." Developed in partnership with Amazon Web Services and the NVIDIA Connect program, it moves beyond analytics to provide predictive insights and actionable recommendations for pricing, inventory, and sales directly within user workflows. The company was co-founded by CEO Justin Floyd, a serial entrepreneur now based in New York who previously founded the cloud intelligence company Vecta and co-founded surgical robotics pioneer CMR Surgical. Floyd has a track record of building tech for what he calls "gritty, naughty, industrial" problems that others often avoid. This AI deployment follows significant new funding. In late February 2026, RedCloud secured a $30 million equity line of credit and a separate $4 million in convertible note financing from institutional investors. This capital injection supports the company's aggressive technology rollout and expansion. RedCloud operates in the vertical SaaS market for logistics and supply chain, a sector projected to reach $157.4 billion by 2025. Unlike horizontal SaaS that requires heavy customization, vertical platforms like RedCloud are built specifically for industry workflows, leading to faster adoption and a stickier product. The NYC startup ecosystem has a growing cluster in this space, with 44 supply chain-focused SaaS startups. This includes companies like Desteia, an AI-powered platform for automating cross-border trade, and the global trade intelligence platform Panjiva. The use of AI agents for trade is a broader trend, particularly among early-stage companies. Y Combinator has recently backed startups like Trava, which builds AI agents for global trade compliance, and Reframe, which deploys agents to manage overseas hardware manufacturing. Brooklyn-based Attack Capital operates as a YC-alumni-founded AI fund and venture studio specifically targeting supply chain AI startups.
