Tony Gemignani's Slice House Opens in Livermore

Celebrity pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani has opened a new location of his Slice House pizzeria in Livermore, expanding his footprint in the East Bay. The new outpost also features a brand new pizza creation from the multi-time world champion. Gemignani is well-known for his acclaimed pizzerias in San Francisco's North Beach.

Tony Gemignani is a 13-time World Pizza Champion, a title that includes being the first American and non-Neapolitan to win the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy. He also holds four Guinness World Records for pizza-related feats. The Slice House concept is Gemignani's fast-casual model, designed to be "Covid-proof" with a focus on takeout and delivery from a small footprint. It contrasts with his full-service restaurants like Tony's Pizza Napoletana, which features seven different pizza ovens to accommodate various styles. The Livermore location is part of a massive nationwide expansion for the Slice House brand, which launched its franchise program around 2022. The company now has over 140 units either open or in development across states like California, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. This new pizzeria is located at 1948 First Street, on the ground floor of the Legacy at Livermore apartment building, marking the brand's first entry into the Tri-Valley area. Slice House is known for being "pizza-style agnostic," offering a wide variety of regional styles by the slice and as whole pies. The menu typically features New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma-style pizzas.
