Brent Faiyaz's 'ICON' Album Drops

'ICON' debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, with 58,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week. The album also boasts 45.7 million on-demand streams. 13,500 units came from pure album sales. Executive produced by Raphael Saadiq, 'ICON' was released February 13th via Faiyaz's independent label, ISO Supremacy, and distributed by UnitedMasters. A "Director's Cut" followed three days later with two bonus tracks: "Full Moon (Fall in Tokyo)" and "1 For You (Spring in New York)". Faiyaz told Flaunt Magazine he wanted 'ICON' to "promote love and encapsulate beauty and everything that comes with it". Several tracks landed on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Butterflies," "Have To," and "Wrong Faces". Brent Faiyaz's previous album, 'Wasteland' (2022), debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. In between 'Wasteland' and 'ICON', Faiyaz released a mixtape titled, 'Larger Than Life' in 2023. His first EP, "Black Child", was released in 2013.
