New London Restaurant Openings
London On The Inside has listed top new London restaurant openings on February 11, including Cantonese and Caribbean revivals. Manchester also saw Burgerism's first eat-in location open at Piccadilly Gardens with 30% off during the first week and walk-ins only.
- The "Cantonese revival" includes Cafe Kowloon in London Fields, a new concept from the team behind Mr Bao and Daddy Bao, which is accessed through their noodle bar, Wonton Charlie's. - The new Cantonese restaurant, Mama Li, in Canary Wharf's Wood Wharf development, is the brand's third London location and will feature signature charcoal-fired roast duck and crispy pork. - The celebrated Caribbean restaurant, The Good Front Room, has found a permanent home in Dalston after a successful 10-month residency at The Langham hotel in central London. - Chef Dominic Taylor, who won Channel 4's "Five Star Kitchen: Britain's Next Great Chef," will be serving dishes inspired by his Jamaican and Saint-Lucian heritage, such as rum and raisin pork belly strips and ackee and saltfish cake. - Burgerism's new Piccadilly Gardens location is the brand's fifth site in Greater Manchester but its first with an eat-in dining experience, featuring 22 seats in a 1,000 sq ft space. - Founded in 2018 by Mark Murphy, Burgerism started as a delivery-only "dark kitchen" in a Salford industrial estate before gaining a cult following. - Another significant February opening is a new wave Mexican seafood restaurant in Fitzrovia called Cometa, from the founders of the Carousel incubator restaurant. - In Soho, Osteria Vibrato, an Italian restaurant from Charlie Mellor of the acclaimed (but now closed) Laughing Heart, also opened its doors.
