Gnarls Barkley Drops Final Album
Gnarls Barkley has dropped their third and final album *Atlanta*, officially closing the book on one of the most creative duos in modern soul and alternative R&B. The release marks the end of the CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse collaboration that brought hits like "Crazy" to mainstream audiences.
The 18-year gap between Gnarls Barkley's second and third albums was not a period of inactivity for its members. In the interim, both CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse pursued numerous other successful projects. Producer Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) has won six Grammy Awards for his work with a diverse range of artists. His production credits include acclaimed albums for Gorillaz (*Demon Days*), The Black Keys (*El Camino*), Adele (*25*), and A$AP Rocky (*At.Long.Last.ASAP*). He also formed the band Broken Bells with The Shins' singer James Mercer. Vocalist CeeLo Green released four solo albums and two albums with his original hip-hop group, Goodie Mob. In 2010, he released the worldwide hit single "Fuck You!" (edited for radio as "Forget You"), which reached the top ten in 13 countries and won a Grammy Award. Green also served as a coach on the reality television show *The Voice* for four seasons. The duo's 2006 debut, *St. Elsewhere*, was a massive commercial and critical success, largely driven by the global hit "Crazy," which was named Rolling Stone's #1 song of the decade. Their 2008 follow-up, *The Odd Couple*, reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 but did not achieve the same level of sales as its predecessor. Its release was moved up after the album leaked online.
