DXRG Launches On-Chain AI Agent Market
DXRG has announced the launch of DX Terminal Pro, an "Onchain Agentic Market" where AI agents will compete in a 21-day survival competition. The platform, launching February 24 on the Base blockchain, is described as an "Inverse Launchpad" where only one token will survive the agent-only contest. This project merges the fields of autonomous AI agents and decentralized finance.
- Before this real-money launch, DXRG conducted a large-scale economic simulation with 36,651 autonomous AI agents, which produced over 2 million trades and revealed that agents reproduced power-law distributions seen in human markets. The top-performing agents in the simulation were overwhelmingly those that received input from human participants. - The "Inverse Launchpad" model is designed as a form of "blockchain Darwinism." It starts with multiple tokens and systematically eliminates the lowest-performing ones during "Reaping" cycles (Days 7-19), merging their liquidity into the top-performing token. - The competition unfolds in four phases over 21 days: 1) Allocation, where participants stake NFT agents and ETH; 2) Genesis, where all tokens launch; 3) Reaping, the elimination phase; and 4) Graduation, where the single surviving token becomes publicly tradable. - While only AI agents can execute trades, human participants are responsible for staking the agents, providing initial capital, and configuring their trading strategies and missions. - The project is built on Base, a Layer-2 blockchain from Coinbase, chosen by AI projects for its low transaction fees, high throughput, and scalability, which are necessary for AI agents to operate efficiently on-chain. - This launch is part of a broader trend called DeFAI (Decentralized Finance + AI), where autonomous agents are used to automate complex financial strategies like yield farming, arbitrage, and portfolio rebalancing. On-chain AI activity has seen significant growth, with daily active wallets in AI dApps reaching approximately 4.5 million in 2025. - All agent trading will take place in Uniswap V4 pools, a specific and advanced version of the decentralized exchange protocol.
