Switch 2 gets big third‑party support

Third‑party support for Switch 2 tightened up today: Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is listed for Switch 2 digital release on February 24 and a physical release on April 28, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is also slated for Switch 2 in 2026. (gameshub.com)

Bethesda has put two of its biggest role-playing games on Nintendo Switch 2’s 2026 slate, adding Fallout 4 now and Oblivion Remastered later this year. (fallout.bethesda.net) Bethesda said Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is already available digitally on Switch 2, and Nintendo’s February 6, 2026 news post listed February 24, 2026 as the release date for that version. A physical “code-in-box” edition is planned for April 28, 2026. (fallout.bethesda.net) (nintendo.com) Bethesda also said The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is coming to Switch 2 in 2026, and Nintendo’s store page says that version includes Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and other downloadable content. (fallout.bethesda.net) (nintendo.com) Those announcements give Switch 2 a clearer read on outside support less than a year after the console’s June 5, 2025 launch. Nintendo launched the system in the United States at $449.99. (nintendo.com) The names matter as much as the dates. Fallout 4 is making its first appearance on a Nintendo console, while Oblivion Remastered brings a 2006 Bethesda role-playing game back in an updated package for Nintendo’s current hardware. (fallout.bethesda.net) (nintendo.com) Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition bundles the base game, six official add-ons, and more than 150 Creation Club items on Switch 2. Bethesda said the Switch 2 release does not include a Creations menu, because those items are built directly into the game. (fallout.bethesda.net) Bethesda’s Switch 2 push is broader than these two games. The publisher said Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also coming to Nintendo’s system in 2026, turning one showcase into a three-game commitment from Microsoft-owned Bethesda. (fallout.bethesda.net) (ign.com) For Nintendo, the immediate test is whether ports like Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered keep filling the gap between first-party releases. For Bethesda, the next date on the calendar is April 28, when Fallout 4’s boxed Switch 2 edition reaches stores. (gameshub.com) (gamespot.com)
