Anduril Expands to Undersea, Space
Anduril Industries was selected by the U.S. Navy for the CAMP program, developing the Dive-XL—an extra-large autonomous underwater vessel (XL-AUV). This follows Anduril’s acquisition of space domain awareness firm ExoAnalytic Solutions, reinforcing its ambitions to integrate space, sea, and AI-powered defense. Anduril is now valued at $30.5B.
The Navy's Dive-XL program aims to create a new class of extra-large autonomous underwater vehicles, with Anduril's prototype set to be 20-30 feet long. The partnership follows the Navy's increasing interest in unmanned underwater systems for missions like mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, and seabed warfare. Anduril's acquisition of ExoAnalytic Solutions for an undisclosed amount brings in a company known for tracking over 20,000 objects in space using a global network of more than 300 optical sensors. ExoAnalytic's open-architecture software and sensor network processed over 250 million observations in 2025, providing real-time space domain awareness. Anduril's move into undersea and space domains positions it against established defense players like Lockheed Martin and Boeing, as well as other tech-focused companies entering the defense market such as SpaceX and Palantir. The company's integrated approach, combining AI, sensors, and autonomous systems across multiple domains, is attracting significant investor interest, reflected in its latest valuation.
