Roomful of Blues will mark its new album with a Rhode Island release party Saturday, April 25, at Chan’s in Woonsocket. (chanseggrollsjazz.com) The show starts at 8 p.m. at Chan’s Egg Rolls Jazz and Blues, 267 Main St., and online ticketing listed general admission at $35 plus a $0.88 service fee before the event sold out. The venue said tickets would be $40 at the door. (chanseggrollsjazz.com) Ocean State Media included the concert in its Weekend 401 roundup published April 22, placing the Woonsocket date among Rhode Island events running April 24 through April 26. (oceanstatemedia.org) The album at the center of the show is *Steppin’ Out!*, released by Alligator Records on October 10, 2025. Alligator and the band describe it as the group’s 20th album. (alligator.com) The record also marks a lineup shift: D.D. Bastos is the first female vocalist to record with Roomful of Blues, according to the band and label. Roomful says the album has 14 tracks and was produced by guitarist Chris Vachon. (roomful.com, roomful.com) That gives the Woonsocket date more weight than a routine stop on a regional tour. Roomful’s current schedule lists shows in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, on April 24 and at Chan’s on April 25, making the Rhode Island set the hometown-area celebration tied directly to the album. (alligator.com) Chan’s has its own place in the state’s live-music circuit. The club bills itself as a Woonsocket blues and jazz room inside a Chinese restaurant and says it has hosted live music there for decades. (chanseggrollsjazz.com, ripulse.com) For Roomful of Blues, that means celebrating a new record in a room built for the band’s horn-driven jump blues and soul sound. By Saturday night, the album party that landed in a weekend roundup had become one of Woonsocket’s harder tickets to get. (alligator.com, chanseggrollsjazz.com)
