Web hosting platform SiteGround has launched Coderick AI, a new tool aimed at making custom software development accessible for small businesses. The AI app builder is designed to remove the technical and financial hurdles that typically prevent small companies from creating their own applications.
The new tool, named Coderick AI, allows users to create websites and web applications by describing their project in simple, natural language. This "vibe coding" approach is designed for users with no programming experience, leveraging large language models to generate the code. SiteGround's Coderick AI integrates the entire development and deployment process into a single platform. This means hosting, database setup, version control, and security are all handled automatically once an application is created, a different approach from many AI builders that only output code. Founded in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2004 by a group of university friends, SiteGround has grown into a major global web hosting provider. As of 2023, the company hosts over 3 million domains and utilizes Google Cloud for its server infrastructure across 11 data centers worldwide. The launch of Coderick AI positions SiteGround within the rapidly expanding no-code and low-code development market, which is projected to reach $187 billion by 2030. This move reflects a broader industry trend of hosting companies evolving from passive infrastructure providers into comprehensive product platforms.
