Brent Cross Mural Co-Creation

Brent Cross Town invites the community to co-create a mural outside Brent Cross West station. Workshops with @WoodStreetWalls are scheduled for March 22 & 26.

The Brent Cross Town development is partnering with Wood Street Walls to host mural co-creation workshops on March 22 and 26. Wood Street Walls is an organization known for its street art projects and community engagement initiatives. The workshops offer a chance for the public to contribute to the area's evolving artistic landscape. Brent Cross Town is part of a £5 billion regeneration project aiming to create a new "park town" in North London. The development will include 6,700 homes, workspace for 25,000 people, and a high street with retail, dining, and leisure spaces. The project aims for carbon neutrality by 2030 and will feature 50 acres of green space. Previous public art installations in Brent Cross Town have included "The Maze" in Claremont Park, featuring contributions from artists like Amara Por Dios and Lois O'Hara. These installations often incorporate community feedback and celebrate local history, like the mural inspired by botanist William Cattley. The co-created mural will add to the growing collection of public art, reflecting the area's identity and culture.
