Eagles' Sirianni Earns NFLPA Grade A

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni received an A grade in the NFLPA's 2026 report cards, which are trending and sparking debates about team facilities and coaching across the league. The annual player evaluations provide broader team grades that assess organizational quality from the athletes' perspective.

While Nick Sirianni secured an 'A' from his players, the Philadelphia Eagles as a whole landed 20th in the NFLPA's 2026 overall team rankings. This placement puts them behind teams sometimes viewed as dysfunctional, such as the New York Jets, who ranked 18th overall. The head coach's high mark stands in stark contrast to several key categories that dragged down the team's overall score. Players gave the team's travel logistics an 'F' and the locker room a 'D', indicating significant dissatisfaction with these aspects of the workplace. The treatment of families also received a subpar grade of 'C+'. This year's survey, based on responses from 1,759 players, was initially blocked from public release after the NFL won a grievance against the NFLPA. However, the full grades for all 32 teams were subsequently leaked and reported by ESPN. The NFLPA began these annual report cards to provide players with insights into working conditions across the league, evaluating everything from food service to ownership. The goal is to highlight best practices and identify areas needing improvement to raise standards league-wide. Sirianni's 'A' grade aligns with high marks for his coordinators, with Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio earning an A+. Other areas receiving 'A' grades included the food/dining area, home game field, training staff, and weight room, showing player satisfaction in several key support areas. Despite the high grades for coaching and facilities, the low rankings in travel and family treatment suggest areas for the organization to address. For instance, the Eagles are one of the few teams that do not provide daycare for players' families on game days.
