Salesforce Forms Healthcare AI Alliance

Salesforce is partnering with Alphabet's Verily, HealthEx, and Viz.ai to deploy a suite of pre-configured AI solutions for health systems. The alliance aims to accelerate diagnostics and streamline clinical operations with “plug-and-play” AI modules, moving beyond bespoke, high-risk IT projects.

The alliance centers on Salesforce's Agentforce for Health platform, first introduced in 2025, which provides a library of AI agents to automate administrative and clinical tasks. The new partnerships add six AI agents focused on patient access, clinical research, and public health management, aiming to create a "24/7 administrative layer" to reduce manual workloads. One early user, MIMIT Health, reported a 459% ROI and $1.5 million in savings from using the platform. Each partner brings a distinct dataset and capability. HealthEx provides a unified health record by aggregating patient data like diagnoses, medications, and lab results using TEFCA and FHIR standards. Alphabet's Verily contributes data from wearables, nutrition trackers, and lab tests to enable predictive insights. Viz.ai, which has numerous FDA-cleared AI algorithms, integrates medical imaging and EHR data to detect suspected diseases and trigger automated clinical workflows. This collaboration addresses the significant challenge of fragmented data in healthcare, a primary cause of administrative burden and burnout. By creating a unified patient record and automating tasks like referrals, the alliance aims to allow clinicians to focus more on patient care. The move reflects a broader industry trend away from complex, custom IT projects which often face challenges in integration, scalability, and regulatory compliance. The market for AI in healthcare is experiencing explosive growth, with a global market size valued at $36.67 billion in 2025 and projected to reach over $500 billion by 2033. This growth is driven by the vast amount of data generated by the healthcare industry—estimated at 30% of the world's total data—and the increasing adoption of AI by providers. A 2026 McKinsey report identifies health services and technology as the fastest-growing segment in US healthcare, driven by the need for greater efficiency amid declining profitability.
