In a recent Wired interview, Miéville also discussed his high-profile collaboration with Keanu Reeves on *The Book of Elsewhere*, a tie-in novel for Reeves' *BRZRKR* comic book franchise. Miéville took on the project specifically for the creative challenge of working within the established universe.

- The forthcoming 1,000-page novel is titled *The Rouse* and is slated for a September 2026 release. Miéville has described it as a project he has been working on for more than two decades. - *The Rouse* will be Miéville's first solo-authored novel for adults since 2011. The publisher describes it as a "decade- and continent-spanning epic" about an ordinary woman who uncovers dark conspiracies after a personal tragedy. - His recent collaboration with Keanu Reeves, *The Book of Elsewhere*, was released on July 23, 2024. The novel expands on the universe of Reeves' *BRZRKR* comic book series, which itself was the highest-selling original comic debut in over 25 years. - Before this recent activity, Miéville's last solo novel was *Railsea* in 2012. In a 2024 interview, he revealed that his absence from the novel scene was due to a prolonged and deep depression. - Miéville is a key figure in the "New Weird" literary movement, which blends elements of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. - He holds the record for the most Arthur C. Clarke Award wins, with three for his novels *Perdido Street Station*, *Iron Council*, and *The City & the City*. - In addition to his fiction, Miéville has a PhD in International Relations and has published non-fiction works on Marxism and the Russian Revolution.
