Arrests Made in Lafayette and Alamo Bank Robberies
Two suspects were arrested on February 19th in Lafayette, California, in connection with a bank robbery in Alamo and an attempted robbery in Lafayette. Authorities stated that a replica Glock handgun was recovered during the arrests. The incidents occurred in the East Bay region.
- The suspects were identified as Jarmaya Tillman, 23, of Antioch, and Allen Charles Benjamin Foster, 20, of Oakland. They were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. - The incidents began on Tuesday, February 17, with a reported bank robbery around 1:00 p.m. on Danville Boulevard in Alamo, followed by an attempted robbery on Mt. Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette. - Multiple law enforcement agencies, including police from Danville, Orinda, Moraga, and Concord, assisted the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and Lafayette police in the search for the suspects. - Jarmaya Tillman's bail is set at $200,000, and Allen Foster's is $150,000. Both face charges of robbery, attempted robbery, and two counts of conspiracy. - Authorities are investigating a potential link to a third similar incident that may have occurred just prior to the Alamo robbery. - After the attempted robbery in Lafayette, the suspects fled in a vehicle which was later found unoccupied by police on Lafayette Circle. The two were then detained nearby on foot. - Danville police identified a license plate connected to the suspect's vehicle shortly after the Alamo robbery, which was broadcast to surrounding agencies to aid in the search.
