Williamson County’s baseball race tightened this week when Ravenwood and Nolensville split a two-game district set, leaving both teams locked near the top of District 11-4A in late April. (maxpreps.com) Nolensville beat Ravenwood 7-4 on April 20, then Ravenwood answered with an 8-4 win on April 21 at Nolensville. MaxPreps lists Nolensville at No. 3 in Tennessee Division I 4A, while Ravenwood is No. 5 in the Nashville area and No. 7 statewide. (maxpreps.com 1) (maxpreps.com 2) Ravenwood’s lineup has produced across the board. MaxPreps lists senior Michael Holt at a.407 batting average with six home runs and 26 runs batted in, while junior Colton Karkau carries a 0.98 earned run average and 50 strikeouts. (maxpreps.com) Main Street Preps reported on April 2 that Holt, a Vanderbilt commit, was hitting.379 with 20 runs and 17 runs batted in through 66 at-bats, and coach Nico Gregali said the senior had “started to take off” after offseason adjustments. (mainstreetmediatn.com) Nolensville is coming off a state runner-up finish in 2024, according to Williamson County Athletics, and this spring the Knights carried a nine-game winning streak into the April 21 rematch with Ravenwood. MaxPreps shows that streak included district wins over Brentwood and Ravenwood in the week before the loss. (williamsoncountyathletics.com) (maxpreps.com) Page is in a different district race, but the Patriots have built a similar case as a postseason team. CoachT lists Page at 23-6 overall and 7-1 in District 12-4A after a 3-2 win at Columbia on April 21. (coacht.com) The county’s depth shows up in regional rankings too. The Tennessean’s April 20 Nashville-area large-class poll placed Ravenwood at No. 5, Nolensville at No. 6 and Page at No. 9. (tennessean.com) Those three programs are not chasing the same district title, but they are moving toward the same part of the calendar. With district tournaments approaching, Williamson County has three teams with 23 or more wins, top-10 area rankings, and recent results that suggest May will run through its baseball fields.
