Tom Aspinall Signs with Eddie Hearn

Tom Aspinall's partnership with Eddie Hearn positions him as the inaugural athlete for the newly formed Matchroom Talent Agency. This venture is a new brand of talent management created by Hearn to handle athletes' brands and reputations across sports and entertainment. The agreement is a commercial and advisory deal, not a promotional one, meaning Aspinall remains under his UFC fighting contract. Hearn's agency will manage Aspinall's business interests both inside and outside the octagon, covering commercial partnerships, digital projects, broadcast opportunities, and legal support. This move marks a significant shift for Aspinall, who was previously managed by his father, Andy Aspinall. The 32-year-old UFC champion will continue to work with his existing media and management team, with Matchroom providing additional services. The signing is a notable development in the ongoing rivalry between Eddie Hearn and UFC CEO Dana White. It comes shortly after White's Zuffa Boxing signed boxer Conor Benn, who was previously with Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, for a reported $15 million one-fight deal. Despite the rivalry, Dana White has publicly stated he has no issue with Aspinall being represented by Hearn. White commented, "They can get whoever they want to represent them. Tito Ortiz used to represent people and we got it done." Aspinall has expressed excitement about leveraging Hearn's expertise to elevate his brand outside of competition. This partnership also aligns with Aspinall's long-held interest in a future transition to boxing, a move that could be facilitated by Hearn's deep connections in that sport. The UFC heavyweight champion is currently recovering from double eye surgery following an accidental eye poke in his last fight against Ciryl Gane in October 2025, which resulted in a no-contest.
