Xbox's Project Helix Console Price Rumored

Rumors suggest Xbox's next-gen Project Helix console may cost over $1,000, raising eyebrows among enthusiasts.

The rumored price stems from comments made by tech journalist Moore's Law is Dead, who suggests a range of $999 to $1,200. He anticipates the console using high-end components similar to the successor of AMD's 9070 XT graphics card. This pricing would put Project Helix in competition with high-end PCs, as it's designed to play both Xbox and PC games. Microsoft's CEO, Asha Sharma, has stated that Project Helix will "lead in performance". Some analysts speculate Microsoft might take a loss on hardware to undercut Sony's PS5 Pro. A lower price point, around $900, could be achieved if Microsoft is willing to absorb some of the hardware costs. The console is rumored to have impressive specs, including a Zen 6 CPU and RDNA 5 GPU. Performance gains could reach up to 6x the rasterization and 20x the ray tracing capabilities of the Xbox Series X.
