UCL Knockouts Deliver Stunning Results

Champions League knockout play-offs produced dramatic results with Atalanta crushing Borussia Dortmund 4-1, Real Madrid edging Benfica 2-1, and Al Nassr demolishing Al Najma 5-0. Juventus led Galatasaray 3-0 in extra time while PSG drew 2-2 with Monaco. Ronaldo fans celebrated multiple victories as their hero scored for Al Nassr, Real Madrid won with standout performances from Vini Jr. and Valverde, and Al Nassr topped the Saudi Pro League.

Atalanta's victory over Borussia Dortmund was a stunning comeback, overturning a 2-0 first-leg deficit to win 4-3 on aggregate. The decisive goal came from a Lazar Samardzic penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time, awarded after a VAR review for a foul that also saw Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini sent off. Real Madrid advanced to the round of 16 with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Benfica, despite missing the injured Kylian Mbappé. After Benfica briefly leveled the tie at 1-1, Aurélien Tchouaméni scored an equalizer just two minutes later before Vinícius Júnior secured the 2-1 win on the night with a composed finish in the 80th minute. The 5-0 win for Al Nassr marked their ninth consecutive victory in the Saudi Pro League, moving them two points clear at the top of the table. Cristiano Ronaldo initiated the scoring with a seventh-minute penalty, his 965th career goal, with Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman, and a brace from Iñigo Martínez completing the rout. The Juventus vs. Galatasaray tie ended in a 7-5 aggregate win for the Turkish side after a dramatic period of extra time. Juventus had sensationally erased a three-goal first-leg deficit to force extra time at 5-5, scoring their second and third goals of the night while down to 10 men. Galatasaray's place in the last 16 was secured by extra-time goals from Victor Osimhen and Baris Alper Yilmaz. The loss was only Juventus' third ever against Turkish opposition, with all three defeats coming at the hands of Galatasaray. Paris Saint-Germain also progressed to the next round, edging out domestic rivals Monaco 5-4 on aggregate. The turning point in the 2-2 second-leg draw was a red card for Monaco's Mamadou Coulibaly in the 58th minute, after which PSG quickly scored two goals to take control of the tie.
