NFL free agency exploded as the 2026 league year began — Ravens got Trey Hendrickson, Raiders traded for CB Taron Johnson post:19, post:22. The 49ers signed Mike Evans, Chiefs re-signed Travis Kelce and signed Kenneth Walker III post:19.
The Ravens' acquisition of Hendrickson shores up their pass rush after losing Jadeveon Clowney to retirement. Baltimore was rumored to be shopping for an edge rusher, and Hendrickson became available after opting out of his contract with Cincinnati. The Raiders needed cornerback help, and Taron Johnson fills an immediate need. Las Vegas gave up a 2027 4th-round pick to acquire Johnson from Buffalo. San Francisco getting Mike Evans gives Brock Purdy another weapon. The 49ers were looking for a complement to Deebo Samuel and George Kittle.
