Switch 2 first-party ratings

Two first-party Switch 2 ratings have appeared in Europe for Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, fueling discussion about possible summer releases. (nintendolife.com) Splatoon Raiders in particular was separately spotted as rated for Switch 2 in Europe, adding momentum to the rumor trail. (gonintendo.com)

Two upcoming Nintendo games for Switch 2 now show European age ratings: Splatoon Raiders is listed at PEGI 7, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave at PEGI 12. (nintendolife.com) Nintendo Life reported the ratings were added to Nintendo’s European webpages over the weekend of April 11-12, 2026. Eurogamer said it separately checked the European eShop pages and found the same classifications. (nintendolife.com) (eurogamer.net) Splatoon Raiders still carries a release date of “TBD,” while Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is still scheduled for 2026. Nintendo Life said Fire Emblem’s page changed from a provisional rating to PEGI 12. (nintendolife.com) PEGI is the Pan European Game Information system, the age-rating board used across much of Europe. Publishers usually need a final content classification before a game can go on sale in those markets. (pegi.info) That is why fans track rating changes so closely: they do not confirm a launch date, but they usually appear late in a game’s release process. GoNintendo noted Splatoon Raiders does not yet have a separate public listing on PEGI’s own site, even though the rating appears on Nintendo’s European store page. (gonintendo.com) Splatoon Raiders was announced by Nintendo on June 10, 2025, as the first Splatoon spin-off game. Nintendo said players take the role of a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands with Deep Cut, and said more information would be shared later. (nintendo.com) Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was announced by Nintendo on September 19, 2025. Nintendo described it as a new turn-based tactical role-playing game for Switch 2 and said it would launch in 2026. (nintendo.com) The timing leaves Nintendo with a clearer-looking second-half pipeline after near-term releases already on its calendar. Nintendo Life said Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is due next week, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launches in May, and Rhythm Heaven Groove is set for July. (nintendolife.com) No release dates have been announced for either game as of Monday, April 13, 2026. What the ratings do show is that two of Nintendo’s biggest unreleased Switch 2 exclusives have moved one step closer to sale in Europe. (eurogamer.net)
