Alter Bridge New Album Video

Alter Bridge shared the official video for "Playing Aces", the latest single from their forthcoming self-titled eighth studio album. The band's energetic new video and anticipated album release signal a renewed creative phase, blending melodic hard rock with technical musicianship while introducing fresh elements.

The upcoming self-titled album from Alter Bridge, set for release on January 9, 2026, marks their first record where they were the inaugural band to record at Eddie Van Halen's renowned 5150 studio, aside from Van Halen themselves. The album was co-produced by their long-time collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette. "Playing Aces" is the third single from the 12-track album, following the release of "Silent Divide" and "What Lies Within". The music video for "Playing Aces" was directed by J.T. Ibanez. The album also features the band's longest song to date, "Slave To Master," which clocks in at over nine minutes. The band's previous album, 2022's "Pawns & Kings," saw significant chart success, debuting at number 35 on the US Billboard 200 and reaching number 6 on the UK Albums Chart. That album also topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart. To support the new record, Alter Bridge will embark on the "What Lies Within Tour" in 2026. The European leg will feature support from Daughtry and Sevendust, while the North American dates will include Filter, Sevendust, and Tim Montana. The new album will continue to showcase the vocal interplay between Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti, with the two sharing lead vocal duties on tracks like "Trust In Me" and "Tested and Able". Lyrically, the album is said to explore themes of resilience, inner conflict, and introspection.
