Cerno has joined Lutron’s Native by Design programme, pairing artistic fixture makers with Lutron's control ecosystem to simplify integration of designer luminaires into smart interiors. Cerno has joined Lutron’s Native by Design program, adding the California lighting maker to Lutron’s roster of brands built to work inside its control system. (lutron.com) (homeaccentstoday.com) Home Accents Today reported the move on April 10, 2026, and said Cerno entered the program as one of Lutron’s first integrated light-emitting diode partners. Cerno Group said the lineup includes fixtures from Cerno plus its Revelite and Siemon & Salazar brands. (homeaccentstoday.com) (cernogroup.com) Lutron introduced Native by Design in September 2025 as a partner program for brands that integrate with its intelligent lighting, window treatment drives, and control products. Residential Systems said Cerno appeared among the brands shown with the program at CEDIA Expo 2025. (lutron.com) (residentialsystems.com) The pitch is simpler installation in high-end homes: decorative fixtures arrive designed to work with Lutron’s ecosystem instead of being adapted after the fact. Lutron says the program pairs its technology with outside design brands to create “flawless experiences” for homeowners and integrators. (lutron.com 1) (lutron.com 2) That matters in a part of the residential market where clients want statement pendants, sconces, and art lights to dim, warm, and tune like the rest of the house. Lutron markets Ketra, Rania, and Lumaris as lighting platforms that can deliver tunable white light, warm dimming, and tighter control over color and output. (lutron.com 1) (lutron.com 2) Cerno’s Native by Design pages already show named products tied to Lutron, including Ignis 17, Ignis 24, Nauta, Valeo, Ora, Redeo, Una 48, Una 66, Lenis, and Penna. The company also lists Cerno Art Light versions with Ketra and Rania. (cernogroup.com 1) (cernogroup.com 2) Cerno says its fixtures are handcrafted in Southern California, and the company’s site frames the partnership around decorative lighting that keeps the brand’s own design language while using Lutron technology. Bret Englander, Cerno’s co-founder and director of sales and marketing, told trade outlets the companies came together through a shared focus on performance lighting and design. (cernogroup.com) (lightingnewsnow.com) The broader program stretches beyond decorative fixtures. Lutron’s launch materials said Native by Design also covers exterior lighting, woven shades, and moving art, reflecting a wider push by controls companies to make more parts of the home behave like one coordinated system. (lutron.com) (residentialsystems.com) For designers and integrators, the immediate takeaway is practical: more decorative fixtures are being sold as native parts of the controls stack, not as separate objects that need custom work later. Cerno’s entry gives Lutron another decorative brand to point to as it expands Native by Design after its 2025 debut. (cepro.com) (lutron.com)
