Texas campgrounds among America's best
Four Texas campgrounds have been named among America’s best for 2026 4 scenic Texas campgrounds named America's best in 2026.
These Texas campgrounds earned spots on the Dyrt’s annual “Best Campgrounds” list for 2026. The Dyrt is a camping app with the largest database of campgrounds, RV parks, and dispersed camping. The four Texas campgrounds recognized are Caprock Canyon State Park & Trailway, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, and Mustang Island State Park. These campgrounds were selected based on the ratings and reviews from the Dyrt's community of campers. Caprock Canyon State Park & Trailway in Quitaque offers scenic views and the official Texas State Bison Herd. Palo Duro Canyon State Park, near Canyon, is the second-largest canyon in the United States. Pedernales Falls State Park in Johnson City allows visitors to hike, camp, and swim. Mustang Island State Park, near Corpus Christi, has more than five miles of coastline.
